Rayne: Am I the only one who doesn't know what that is?
Emi: I highly doubt you are alone there. It is rather obscure.
Phil: I know what it is!
Emi: Shut up! You probably heard about it from anime!
Phil: Yep!
Emi: It's a simple concept, but doesn't quite work without magic. The idea is you fill a jar with insects and bury the jar.
Emi: The creatures inside kill and eat each other to survive. The remaining creature is the product of the curse.
Emi: The tree and the fog have made a demiplane, a big jar, and that thing on his back, is the result.
Heard about that from the Anime Ghost Hunt myself. Except that version was based around a type of revenge. The next step after you have the one insect left is to put lots of money into it and leave it on the doorstep of someone you hate. They will take the money and spend it not realizing that they just cursed themselves, in the end if they do not put all the money back with interest, the insect eats the members of the household and the process just keeps escalating.
